Who Can Attend
Who Can Attend
Students entering grades 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the fall of 2010 and faculty advisers or school administrators.
Students and faculty/administrative members from any school may attend. Each student and adviser/faculty delegate must register. Every student must have an adult adviser directly responsible for that student in attendance at the conference. This may be an adviser from another school, or the state student council executive director, as long as the adult who is responsible for that student has signed the student’s registration form.
An adviser’s spouse or child (not conference age) can attend with the following options:
Register at the regular registration rate and be able to participate in all conference activities both at school and only age appropriate off-campus sites. This type of family registration is counted into the state guarantee number.
A spouse may register at a reduced registration rate and be able to participate in the evening activities only. This registration is not counted in the state guarantee. Those who register for the evening activities only are responsible for their own transportation to and from the evening activities.
To allow participation from as many schools as possible, each school is limited to eight delegates. The total includes students and advisers. The only exception to eight per school is for schools presenting a workshop, in which case they may bring up to a maximum of ten people. The adviser/student ratio is 1/12 which means that an adviser from one school may take responsibility for students from other schools.
