Thanks to Learn &Serve and the Corporation for National and Community Service, RSVP has been able to offer training and implementation grants to schools in 11 states (CO, IN, LA, MN, NM, NY, NC, PA, VA, WA, WI). Ten schools in each of those states were eligible to receive up to $1,000 to be used for training in the RSVP process and for costs related to implementing the school's civic action plans.
The Learn &Serve grant also allowed NASC/RSVP to train 15 new states in April 2007. Instructors from those 15 states are now able to offer training to individual schools and groups of schools that will be eligible to apply for $750 grants to fund training and RSVP implementation costs.
